SolarLokal is a nationwide image campaign for solar electricity for districts, towns and municipalities.
The campaign was initiated by the nature conservation association -Deutsche Umwelthilfe- and the German solar power company SolarWorld AG.
The goal is to increase the proportion of environmentally friendly solar power in the overall energy supply. The towns and municipalities actively promote solar power with the help of the press and with posters, leaflets and special activities. The councils and mayors of the participating towns and municipalities are important supporters.
Residents are informed of the advantages and have the possibility to install solar power through a local company – a win-win situation for the regional economy, the environment and the community.
